In the mid 1980s Carl Plansky began making paint for himself and his friends in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, hence how the name came into being. As the demand increased and Mr Plansky met it, the Williamsburg Oils range established itself as a leader in the market, prioritising top quality pigments and high performance raw materials.
