Lincolnshire Churches Trust Competition 2015

Lincolnshire Churches Trust Competition 2015

As we all know, competitions are a fantastic way to have loads of fun as well as raise money for a good cause. This year the SAA is inviting you all to take part in this year's Lincolnshire Churches Trust Competition.

Following the success of 2013's competition, the Lincolnshire Churches Trust have decided to hold the competition again this year, with the same subject.

For those of you who didn't know already,  the last competitions subject was: a Lincolnshire church and its immediate surroundings, and this can be the whole, or just a part of the church, of the interior or the church in its landscape.  You will need to identify the church chosen. It can be any two-dimensional artwork in a medium of your choice. A2 maximum size.

2013 First Place Entry

Entry is £3.00 per picture, with all proceeds going to support the Lincolnshire Churches Trust. This years competition is sponsored by the SAA, with some fantastic prizes that we have donated up for grabs. The closing date for entries is April 30th. This year we would like to encourage more young people to take part, with an Under 12, Under 18, and adult categories being added this year. You can request an entry form to download at

2013 Second Place Entry

The exhibition of paintings will be held in Lincoln Central Library again, during the week 1st - 6th June 2015, and will follow with another show in Gosberton 8th - 13th. In 2013's show many of the paintings were available for sale, and lots of them sold. Some were acquired by people who wanted a picture of their own church, whilst some were bought purely on artistic merit.

We hope to have plenty of visitors and opportunities for sales this year, should you wish to sell your work. You may enter as many paintings as you like, but we will have some limit on exhibition, purely for reasons of space.
Good luck, and we hope to see you all in June.
