The Winsor & Newton Winton Round Hog represents the oldest brush shape. Small rounds are indispensable for detail lines and highlights. Many artists prefer the linear mark of the larger rounds compared to the flat marks of Short Flat/Brights.
The bristle is finest chinese hog, handset into seamless, corrosion resistant ferrules, using the natural curve of the bristle to produce a resilient brush that will retain its 'turned-in' shape even after heavy use, allowing the artist more control and accuracy, whether painting with oils, alkyds or acrylics.
The solid wood handles are stained to give an attractive grained wood effect with four coats of lacquer to serve as protection and to produce the smoothest possible finish.
