Daler Rowney FW Acrylic Ink is an acrylic based, pigmented, water-resistant ink. It comes in a range of 38 standard colours and 22 pearlescent colours, all of which have either a 3 or 4 star rating for permanence.
Such a high degree of lightfastness over such a large range of intermixable colours makes Daler Rowney FW Acrylic Ink ideal for use by artists in the production of pictures for permanent display.
Strong, bold applications of FW ink can be made, but equally colours can be substantially diluted to achieve the most subtle of tones, very similar in character to watercolour. Such washes will dry to a water resistant film and successive layers of colour can be laid over in a highly predictable manner.
Standard FW Acrylic Inks work well through airbrushes and technical pens, as well as with brushes. Pearlescent inks' pigments have a slightly larger particle size and so are not suitable for fine line airbrush nozzles or technical and fountain pens.
