Brought onto the market by Alexander Graf von Faber-Castell in 1905, the 9000 pencil's quality and finely graded hardnesses have made it a favourite tool for artists and draughtsmen. It is coated with environmentally compatible water-based paint, a technology which Faber-Castell was the first manufacturer to introduce. Its lead is completely glued together with the wooden shaft, making it especially resilient to breakage. Twelve pencils in a protective and durable tin in two sets.
