Kundalini papermaking kits are the easy way to make beautiful and individual handmade paper. The process is based on traditional papermaking techniques which are centuries old, but has been simplified with this kit by using the unique hinged frames, separate sheets of mesh and smooth plastic drying boards.
Papermaking with the Kundalini papermaking kit has three stages. Firstly existing paper (not supplied) is broken down into a mushy pulp. Next the frames and mesh are scooped through a vat of pulp and water, and the pulp forms a soggy sheet of paper on top of the mesh. Finally the pulp on the mesh is pressed onto a drying board, and dries to form a smooth sheet of paper which is ideal for writing on or rubber-stamping.
Available in three sizes, each kit contains the essential equipment to get started: a pair of wooden frames, a sheet of mesh, 6 drying boards, Bougainvillea Petals and a full colour instruction leaflet.
Additional equipment required: paper, food processor to make paper pulp, old towels for pressing the paper, plastic crate, sieve and pva/white glue.
Please note that the Kundalini papermaking kit is not a toy. It contains sharp edges and is not designed for use by very young children. Parental discretion and supervision is advised.
