18 Inks
Calligraphy - meaning the art of beautiful writing, has been used in various forms since ancient times. From the earliest examples seen on Greek and Roman tablets, to the illuminated manuscripts of the middle ages. Calligraphy was seen as both a skilled art and the main soruce of written communication and expression, until the invention of the printing press. Today calligraphy is enjoyed by professionals and artists around the world.
The Winsor & Newton range of calligraphy inks consists of 18 vibrant colours which have been formulated with carefully chosen pigments to ensure maximum brilliance of colour. Single pigments have been used wherever possible to make clean colour mixtures. All colours have a permanance rating of AA (extremely permanent) or A (permanent). The colours are non-waterproof to ensure that they are non-clogging and have good flow characteristics when used in a fountain or dip pen.
There are two types of ink in the range: the first 4 colours below are for use with only dip pen or brush; the remaining 14 colours can be used with dip pens, fountain pens, technical pens, airbrushes and brushes. All come in 30ml bottles.
