GOLDEN Mediums offer control for changing acrylics, used to create glazes, extend paints, build texture, change finishes and work as a glueing agent for collages. Golden Varnishes offer several advantages: they are removable; they offer protection from UV; varnishing gives the artwork an even sheen.
Golden Retarder is used to increase the open (drying) time of acrylic. Useful for "wet in wet" techniques and reducing skinning on the palette.
Golden Acrylic Flow Release is used to reduce surface tension of water in acrylic emulsion, thereby increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. It is effective for achieving rich stains on a porous surface. Not for use by children.
Golden Fluid Matte Medium is a liquid medium useful for extending colours, decreasing gloss and increasing film integrity. Useful for blending with Fluid Acrylics to decrease the gloss, without increasing viscosity.
Golden Matte Medium is a general purpose, pourable medium useful for extending colours, decreasing gloss and increasing film integrity. Can be used as a ground, instead of gesso.
Golden Polymer Medium (Gloss) is a general purpose liquid medium useful for creating glazes, extending colours, enhancing gloss and translucency and increasing film integrity. Has a unique feel that is much more oil-like or resinous in nature and that promotes flow and levelling.
Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid is designed for interior application on walls or furniture. When mixed with acrylic colours, Acrylic Glazing Liquid's slow drying time allows sufficient working time for a wide variety of glaze and faux finishes.
Golden Polymer Varnish with UVLS (UltraViolet Light Stabilizers) is a waterborne acrylic polymer varnish that dries to a protective, flexible, dust resistant surface over acrylic paint. Removable with ammonia. Available in Gloss, Satin and Matte. Not for use by children. Recommended for interior use only.
Golden GAC 100 is ideal as sizing, protection against Support Induced Discoloration (SID), linseed oil blocking, extending Heavy Body paints and paint-making with dry pigment.
Golden GAC 900 is designed for fabric applications. When heat-set, the addition of GAC 900 to colour lends painted fabrics a very soft hand and laundering stability. It can be mixed with Airbrush colours to produce “tie-dye” effects, or blended with other GOLDEN Acrylics for brush or screen application.
Golden MSA Varnish forms a tougher, less permeable film than waterborne acrylic emulsion varnishes. It reduces dirt penetration and surface marring, offering an extremely level film with less foam and fewer pinholes. Removable with turpentine after drying. Recommended for interior or exterior use. For use on acrylics, oils, temperas, watercolors and various other media.
